Bette Jane Smith Woodward Feldman, of New Castle, Delaware, died on February 23, 2022.
Born Bette Jane Smith in 1940 in West Chester, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Joseph M. and Margaret Kift Smith. She lived her young years in the West Chester area. Her beloved childhood home was at Brandywine View, overlooking the Brandywine and Valley Creeks. She lived a life of love and was a powerful, positive force in the lives of so many others.
Bette is survived by her brothers, Joseph M. Smith and Frederick K. Smith; grandson, Joshua Woodward and his daughters, Mackenzie and Penelope Woodward; granddaughter, Sarah Aungst and her daughter, Aryah; granddaughter, Patty and her children Jimmy, Kristian, River, Laken and Rain Sterner; granddaughter, Christine Graham and her children, Lincoln, Isolde, Cade and Jax Graham; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Woodward; her second husband, Lawrence Feldman; children, Robert Kift Smith, Margaret Jane Woodward, Phyllis Rebecca (Woodward) Healy, and Edward Gordon Woodward.
A Memorial Service and Gathering will be announced for the spring.
