Charles F. “Chuck” Brown
Chuck, age 53, of Dover, DE passed away peacefully on Friday, May 14, 2021 after a few years of declining health and failing to recover from the effects of a heart attack suffered a few weeks earlier.
Chuck, along with his twin brother, Jim, was born on August 24, 1967 in Wilmington, Delaware to G. Thomas “Tom” Brown, originally from New York, and Elli Brown, originally from Germany. He was the youngest child of five in the family, until his brother Michael was born a couple of years later. As the three youngest children that were closest in age, Chuck, Jim and Michael spent a lot of time together as children with interests in sports and fishing.
He was a lifelong resident of Delaware and graduate of Salesianum School. His passion was cars, whether repairing them with family and friends or driving for and managing his family’s taxi business. He also enjoyed the outdoors when his health permitted. Chuck was particularly close to his longtime partner's son and enjoyed spending time with him.
He is survived by his longtime partner, Jennifer Malone and her children; his mother, Elli Brown; his brothers, William Brown (Dede), George Brown (Dianna), Jim Brown (Cathy), and Michael Brown; his sister, Ann King; his aunt, Mary Eberts; and many nieces, nephews and cousins from throughout the United States and Germany.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father, G. Thomas Brown.
Private services will be held at a later date.
