Kenneth “Kenny” McLaughlin passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2023.
He was predeceased by parents, Eleanor and Dick McLaughlin of Wilmington, Dagsboro, DE and Kissimmee, FL. Survivors include brothers, Steve (Betsy) of Lakeland, FL, Dale of Ocean View, HI, and Rich (Susan) of Orlando, FL, as well as nephews, Scott, Erik, Brad, Kyle, Casey, Ryan; and niece, Abigail.
Kenny graduated from John Dickinson High School, where he was on both the basketball and baseball teams paving the way for his brothers to do the same. He was a pure shooter with a nasty curve ball. He was as excited for the Phillies reaching the World Series in 2022 as he was watching Tug McGraw throw the final pitch in 1980. Along with being a fanatical sports fan, his faith and his involvement in his church remained a constant throughout his life. Kenny will be missed. Burial will be in St. George’s Church Cemetery in Clarksville, DE.
