Nichole Lynelle “Nikki" Trotman, October 23, 1971, Syracuse, NY - April 13, 2023, Dover, DE, died suddenly after a series of illnesses at the age of 51.
Nichole, "Nikki" as she liked being referred to was the daughter of Della Trotman-Wilkins nee (Trotman) Glen Cove, NY and Fred Thomas of Syracuse, NY.
Nikki is survived by her mother, Della Trotman-Wilkins and (step father) David Trotman-Wilkins, Glen Cove, NY; father, Fred Thomas, Syracuse, NY; two sons, Xavier Hunter, 29 of Syracuse and U.S. Naval Seaman E3, Zachary Hunter, 26 of San Diego, CA; sisters, Tamara Thomas, Syracuse, Jackie Andrews, Syracuse; brothers, Fredrick Thomas Jr., Syracuse, John (and Kim) Thomas, Syracuse; uncles and aunts, John and (Joan) Trotman, Syracuse, Vance Woods, Central Square, Todd Trotman, Syracuse, Donyell Trotman, Ocala, FL, Jerome and (Greta) Thomas, Syracuse, Gregory Thomas, Syracuse, Clarence Thomas, Syracuse, Charles and (Rose) King, Syracuse, Susie Caudle, Syracuse, Maggie Cooper, Jesup, GA, Eva and (Larry) Strickland, Toledo, OH, Betty Campbell, Jesup, GA; step-grandmother, Ira Dean Trotman, Vidalia, GA; several dozen nieces, nephews and cousins. Nichole was predeceased by her grandfather, Ralph Trotman and grandmother, Helen Woods, both of Syracuse.
Nikki worked as a corrections officer with the Milwaukee County Department of Corrections for 9-1/2 years. Nikki attended and graduated William Nottingham High School, Syracuse 1990. Nichole was a graduate of Springfield College earning her BA and Masters of Science in Criminal Justice and her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Milwaukee Area Technical College. Nichole liked traveling, cruising and exploring different cultures and cuisines.
Nichole will honored at a Memorial Service scheduled for May 13, 2023, from 11am - 1pm at Ballweg and Lundsford Funeral Home, 4612 S Salina St, Syracuse NY 13205. Internment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, 940 Comstock Ave, Syracuse, NY 13210.
