Owen Parks, Jr. Obituary

Owen Ashton Parks, Jr., age 76, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025.

Born on December 24, 1948, in Tangier, VA, he was the son of the late Owen Ashton Parks, Sr. and Isabell Lee Thorne Parks.

Owen served in the U.S. Army and was a proud Vietnam veteran. He later worked as an expert carpenter for over 40 years. Owen especially loved fishing- many of his happiest memories were made on the water with his late brother Hugh and son Carey. He had a lifelong passion for muscle cars, playing pool, and listening to classic rock.

Owen is survived by his sons, Carey Cline, Jamie and Paul Parks, and his four grandchildren. Owen was preceded in death by his sister, Rose Lee Parks and brothers, David Wayne, Jeffrey Lynn, and Hugh James Parks.

A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any organization dedicated to supporting veterans.
